After dining here plenty of more times since my previous review of this place and after trying a wide variety of their menu items, it's now my go-to spot to get my sushi cravings fixed. My favorites are the spicy salmon crunchy hand roll, seared salmon with miso cream cheese, and the seared eel with miso cream cheese. My bf enjoys all of their meat rolls--American wagyu, seared beef with yakiniku sauce, and the hamburger steak. The conveyor may be empty, but they do have a touchscreen where you can order what you want ahead of time instead of waiting for what you want to show up on the conveyor. After 15 plates, you get a little prize which is usually a collectible keychain of some sort or a magnet. This place does get packed, I love their app where you can easily join the waitlist ahead of time or see how long the wait is.

Experience is pretty cool. Food is good. Robots bring drinks. Service is good. I had golden crunchy roll, Spanish Mackerel. It was good. Ambiance is very cool. You should try this experience at least once

A long overdue update, but dined at this location recently and I probably should gatekeep this ... but did you know Kura has an app that you can use to add yourself to the waitlist, view wait times and accrue points for discounts? Added my party to the waitlist and didn't have to wait too long to be seated. This time around was seated at the bar closest to the entrance and enjoyed the space and yes, there is reception here. I've found reception to be limited if seated in the booths. Prices have gone up, but still a good deal for what you're getting! Love the newer additions of appetizers and specialty dishes like their udon and seasonal items like their chirashi bowl. Drink orders are taken and wasabi is provided. Ginger is self service. Pick any items on the belt to your liking or order from the screen. Service time is quick, so your dining time is dependent on how fast you eat really. Quality of fish is good, is it the best? No, but it also is not bad. I always opt for the salmon, scallops, uni and tuna here. I steer clear of the beef, tamago and conch ... that is personal preference of course. As for apps, the takoyaki, soft shell crab and veggie tempura are all great choices! For those with more of an appetite you can have udon or ramen to yourself or shared. I prefer the quality and preparation of the sushi at this location compared to Hostetter but this one is a lot more crowded I find. Check out is easy, call for your bill or pay through your phone. I don't recommend the latter, reception is spotty as before mentioned. If you decided to download the app after reading this review, have the staff scan your app for points. Often times you'll accrue enough to gain monetary discounts for future use or free food items. This last visit allowed me a free dessert on the house!

Entertaining dining experience with colleagues. Located in the happening Cupertino Main Street area. Enjoyed the diverse selection of revolving items especially the Spicy Tuna roll, Tamago and Warabimochi

I've been to Kura three times now and it never disappoints. Expect a long wait even on weekday nights! Start grabbing dishes you want upon seating to feed the beast within. I can admit I'm one hangry person when I'm in need of food. Staff are pretty nice and normally bring water but sometimes the robot does it! Don't see your desired dishes on the conveyor? No fear, order it on the tablet! It'll arrive in a jiffy and the screen even states the approximate time it'll arrive on the higher level conveyor belt. You'll hear the surprising whooshing sound as it brings food to your neighbors. My favorites: Garlic popcorn shrimp roll Spider hand roll (seaweed or soy paper) CA hand roll Garlic ponzu salmon Umami oil seared beef Spicy tuna crispy rice CA imitation crab crispy rice Umami cucumber salad Edamame Watermelon Warabi mochi (coated in soybean powder) Eat until you've had your fill, take a rest, and then eat again! Right now, pricing is ~$4 per plate for most dishes. Once you've cleared 15 plates by dropping them into the chute, you'll get a special prize. We normally get at least 2 prizes with 4 people (30+ plates worth). Sometimes you get stickers, pog cards, or even keychains depending on the collab they're doing. Once, I got a free t-shirt for spending over $60! They even have ramen, udon, shrimp tempura, sashimi on ice, mochi ice cream, Japanese style soy milk donuts, red bean taiyaki, and more! One thing I didn't like was the hamburger meat, but that's probably more for kids that don't like fish. Join the rewards club for free! Rack up points for coupons like $5-10 off. I was also able to claim the free t-shirt during the time they had that offer because I signed up on the spot (also downloaded app). I just made myself hungry by looking at menu photos online oh gosh. Happy eating!
